Last year was one of the most exciting of our long career. We relaunched Birds of a Feather on a new channel, and saw it become ITV’s biggest comedy for over twenty years. We opened a new musical, Dreamboats and Miniskirts, and a new “straight” stage play, Love Me Do.
This year promises, or should we say threatens, to be even busier. Birds series 11 is currently playing on ITV; Dreamboats and Miniskirts is back on national tour from this week, opening at the Orchard Theatre, Dartford, and touring until the summer. We would be very surprised if it wasn’t coming to a theatre near you. We are also developing two new TV comedy projects, a groundbreaking drama series, and a small estate of revolutionary eco-houses in the Highlands of Scotland (one of these is a lie).
Finally, for now, the long-awaited revamp of our website should be gracing your computer screens by the end of this winter. There will be several new features, including a dedicated Twitter feed, if we can figure out how to do it.
All that remains is to wish everyone a Happy New Year, before we board our private planes and fly away to our chartered super yachts for a month or two in the company of oligarchs and supermodels.
